10 DAYS!!!!

Hello friends!!

I thought I would write down a few thoughts that has started out my day!

I am sitting in my living room, when all of the sudden I realized....10 DAYS until my due date! Only ten days, yet it feels like time is standing still. It has become so uncomfortable, lugging around this cute little baby of mine. Luckily, no back pain but boy is it hard to move about! It has become a chore to even get up from a chair or get out of bed. Now I know why women are always ready to get their little love one out...not only because they want to see this little sunshine but to GET THEIR BODY BACK!!!!
Today I am off to purchase material to cover the FREE glider chair (thanks to Beth for that) that was given to us. I will post some pictures of my hard work :) (even though my mom will probably do most of it...she is so good at sewing!)
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Four Graces

I went along with the girls to Four Graces which is a wonderful vineyard in Dundee. I went for the free truffles and to be their personal photographer :) The truffles were delicious and they loved their wine so we all win!!

So my mom came over today to check out the nursery and decided (for my sister-in-laws sake) to take some photos of the nursery as well as my baby "bump". Got to give my mom credit of her wonderful eye. Perhaps this is where Isaac and I get it from. I am about 6 weeks from my due date. I will probably grow a lot more!! The nursery is not done yet but I thought I should show the progress.

Did a little wardrobe change to give some flavor :) My mom and I made the bumpers...ok my mom did most of the work but I did do all the cutting!! We are now working on the skirt and the valence that will go over the window on the opposite side of her crib.

Those letters for her name took many steps to get to how they look now! 3 coats of paint, a coat of glossy paint and then drilling for the ribbon but it was well worth it!!

This cute piggy bank is from Auntie Trish from my first baby shower. It is set on top of Morgans dresser. I want to find a cute purple lamp to go next to it!

This is the view from the left of the door way. Auntie Leah painted the lamp to match her room decor...she did a great job! Those two ball lamps are from IKEA....They will be great night lights

Welcome!!

Hello Friends and Family,

I thought it was fitting that I start blogging on a fresh new website that included my new family. Just a little bit about us: Josh and I are newly married and expecting a child on the way! Life has changed so much this year with these new changes. We are relying on Christ every step of the way on this new journey that we are on, not really knowing what is around the corner but enjoying every minute of it. God is the center of our home and our lives and it is only because of Him, that we are able to have much joy and not to worry about the little things in life.
Individually, Josh is a wonderful husband who works hard at everything he does. He works at Costco, trying to make his way up the ladder there. He loves golf and being with friends and family.

My name is Rachel. I have a home-based photography business that is keeping me very busy! I love working on crafts especially for our new addition. Lately, I have painted a crib (very hard work I might add), decorated letters of Morgan's name to hang in her room, and I am cutting and sewing the bed skirt, bumpers, and valence for her room. I also am going to school at Warner Pacific College. I am enrolled in their adult degree program. I am a year into it...two more years to go!!

Morgan Grace van Baggen is our baby on the way. She is in her 30th week in my tummy and she is kicking away! She likes to move about, twisting and rolling, pushing and poking around in there. We are so excited to meet her and see what she looks like. Josh like to read to her at night with his favorite book "Good night moon". It is so adorable to witness him being as much of a dad as he can be at this point. He has put together the crib and the book case for her room as well as buying her lots of cute outfits including her "money shoes" as he calls them.
